July 2025 Mineral Point School Garden

What a turnout of kids and their families at the July Mineral Point Elementary School garden and savanna tour! Teacher Jessica Soots is doing a great job with the gardens at the school. Summer school kids helped with weeding and harvesting and chives was the winning produce. The Uplands Garden Club gave a grant to the school to help with accessibility to the gardens.

Grant Project Report: Mineral Point School Garden

May 23rd was a picture perfect and planting perfect day...and also perfect for Wisconsin School Garden Day. Jeff David , Music, is newly in charge of the Mineral Point School Garden. Every child had the pleasure of a sunny time in the garden, walking in the Oak Savanna, and planting.

Uplands Garden Club supports this effort with a small grant.

Plans for upcoming programs and visits were discussed, and Jenny McNeil shared photos of the improvements that were made to the garden and stream area at Soldiers Park in Mineral Point with grant funds from the Garden Club.

Treasurer Jennifer Sharp reports on club finances
